Witness | Tucson app for iPhone and iPad

The City of Tucson and the Tucson Police Department are committed to building strong relationships across the community in order to improve public safety and livability in neighborhoods and to enhance community involvement in building a better and more secure city. 

WITNESS|TUCSON is a neighborhood watch technology gone digital that is helping Tucson Police Department officers stay connected with the community.

As part of the Tucson Police Department’s goal of promoting more community policing, they’ve partnered with Safe Spot, LLC to launch WITNESS|TUCSON, a communication mobile app that provides a platform for Tucsons residents to communicate incidents and events with the Tucson Police Department.

WITNESS|TUCSON is a simple, user-friendly way to document important information. WITNESS|TUCSON gives you the ability to instantly record anything and by streaming it to a secure server for safe storage.

All of the incidents or events that you capture can be sent anonymously to TPD, though we encourage you to use your real email address or phone number. Users also have the availability to upload in formats other than video such as: photos, notes, or email (for example a parking issue or graffiti).

Please note:

The TPD Staff members will attempt to review recorded incidents in a timely fashion but do not always actively monitor all messages and activity at all times. 

The application not to be use for emergency incidents. Should an emergency arise, always dial 911.

The app only uses GPS after you open the app and click record. GPS usage continues until you click stop. GPS usage has been shown to dramatically decrease battery life.
